Maitripa Institute

The Maitripa Institute "is part of the FPMT, an international non-profit organization committed to creating harmonious environments and helping all beings to develop their full potential of infinite wisdom and compassion. Maitripa Institute operates under the four guiding principles of Good Heart, Tolerance, Forgivenness, and Rejoicing." It offers "an education that not only teaches these principles as theory, but also guides the students through the process of integrating them into their minds, hearts, and daily lives inspired by an attitude of universal responsiblity."

Under the guidance of Yangsi Rinpohe, the Maitripa Institute offers graduate level classes in Buddhist Philosophy, Tibetan language, and Meditation. It also offers an extensive calendar of public events with visiting teachers and scholars, and weekly public teachings and meditation.
