Portland Buddhist Priory

The Portland Buddhist Priory is a Zen practice center based in Portland, Oregon. The Abbess of the Priory, the Reverend Master Meiko, was ordained as a nun with the Order of Buddhist Contemplatives in 1984. She is a disciple of the late Reverend Master Jiyu-Kennett and a direct student of the Reverend Master Daizui Macphillamy. She studied at Shasta Abbey for a total of thirteen years, before relocating, by invitation, to Portland in 1997.
